Wilmington - Filing online from the Division of Revenue's web site is your best bet for a fast Delaware refund. When you file online, Delaware refunds are frequently issued in less than a week.

But, better than paper, for a fast, easy and accurate way to file your Delaware return, Director of Revenue, William M. Remington encourages taxpayers to file their Delaware return using the Division of Revenue's online tax filing program.

GETTING STARTED:
* Go to the Division of Revenue's web site:

* Have your completed federal return handy.
* Have your other state's return handy, if you are taking a credit for taxes paid to another state. 
* You will need a printer to print a copy of your completed return for your records.
* For direct deposit of your refund, you will need your routing and account numbers from your checking or savings account.

IMPORTANT NUMBERS:
* Over 400,000 tax booklets and post cards were mailed to taxpayers this year.
* Over 93,500 returns have been filed; 11,000 more than this time last year.
* Over 55,000, or 60%, have been filed using an electronic filing method: IRS/DE e-file program, 
   bar-coding or Delaware online filing.

* Over 9,000 have been filed online as compared to 5,000 this time last year. Last year a total of
   17,000 Delaware tax returns were filed online.
